An awareness of various building and construction industry laws, codes and regulations is essential.

Sustainable Planning Act

In 2009, the Sustainable Planning Act replaced the Integrated Planning Act 1997. The Sustainable Planning Act seeks to achieve sustainable development outcomes by managing development processes and environmental effects and coordinating local, regional and state planning.
