Termination of employment
Issues surrounding termination of employment are usually complex and confronting, and must be dealt with in a fair, reasonable and lawful manner to avoid unfair dismissal claims.
The National Employment Standards (NES) under the Fair Work Act 2009 stipulate that an employee is entitled to receive a certain period of notice when their employment is terminated. They may also be entitled to receive redundancy pay.
