Sustainable Planning Act
The Sustainable Planning Act 2009 replaced the Integrated Planning Act 1997.
These new planning and development laws seek to achieve sustainable planning outcomes through:
- Managing the process by which development takes place
- Managing the effects of development on the environment
- Continuing the coordination and integration of local, regional and state planning.
Approved forms for the Sustainable Planning Act
Approved forms and templates have been created by the Department of Local Government and Planning for use with respect to planning instruments and development assessment process under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.
