Our CPC40120 - Certificate IV in Building and Construction is for trade contractors, site supervisors and foremen, and tradespeople.

It will give you the technical qualification you need to apply for a Builder Low Rise Licence through the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC).

This program covers building construction theory and practices related to low rise buildings, providing the knowledge and managerial skills required to manage a successful residential building business.

Our Certificate IV in Building and Construction course is based on the issues we know are important in the building and construction sector today.

Students must have access to a construction worksite. You will be required to conduct practical project applications on site.

Face-to-face eligibility	To enrol students must: Have significant building and construction sector experience: a minimum of fourth year apprentice or one year post trade Demonstrate a satisfactory level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills Have access to internet and email Have a modern laptop (preferably Windows based) with Microsoft programs and Adobe Reader, that can be used throughout the course duration for class work and assessments. Recording device such as a mobile phone/video recorder You will need access to a building and construction site as you will be required to demonstrate the management and planning of components of the building process, record them, and get the required sign-off by a qualified person for the project/s.
