The total amount of building work available is sliding, leaving large parts of the industry out in the cold – this was already occurring prior to COVID-19. Regional areas are especially hard hit. - Commit to spending on new public buildings to a minimum of the 25-year average.
- Accurate and timely information on the government’s program of building work visible to industry through the Queensland Forward Procurement Pipeline
- Raise the maximum deposit for domestic building projects to 7.5% to support contractors’ cashflow and their ability to take on construction work.
