ARE YOU A builder or a subbie? Is getting paid and complying with new industry legislation on your agenda for 2019? Roadshow is your not-to-miss industry event of the year.
Master Builders BUSSQ Roadshow is travelling Queensland and hits the road next week. Visiting a venue near you, we’ll be getting to the heart of the issue of paying and getting paid. We want to ensure building industry businesses are up to speed on the newly introduced Building Industry Fairness (BIF) laws.
Master Builders CEO, Grant Galvin, says now is the time to get across the requirements, with the new laws introduced late last year and a series of reforms scheduled for throughout 2019. Now is the perfect time for industry to make sure they understand the new rules and are following them.
“Our legal experts will break down exactly what you need to do in the payment schedule process. We’ll cover off how to correctly engage with subcontractors, handle incoming invoices and how your outgoing invoices need to be structured,” Mr Galvin said.
“You might think you’ve heard all you need to know, but our panel will be taking this discussion to the next level.
“You’ll getpractical insights and sensible tips on the changes you need to make to ensure your business is compliant. Builders and subbies will walk away with real and useful changes to make within their business.”
Master Builders Roadshow is a free event that travels across Queensland during March. With this year’s theme ’Full speed ahead: Paying and getting paid‘, industry experts will focus on the new BIF laws, as well as the new Minimum Financial Requirements (MFRs) and the likely introduction of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The event is open to residential and commercial builders, tradies, manufacturers and suppliers. In addition to interacting with the guest panel, all attendees will have the opportunity to network with local industry professionals, members and business consultants. There will also be a range of exhibitors on hand to showcase the latest information, new technology and products on the market.
Each event concludes with casual refreshments, trade displays and networking with other attendees.
