Increased claim cap for long service leave claims paid by QLeave from 1 Jul 23

17 July 2023

As of 1 July 2023, the maximum rate of pay for all claims paid by QLeave has increased to $2,116 per week. The new capped rate applies to all worker and employer claims paid between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024.

The capped weekly rate for claims was first introduced on 1 January 2009 to ensure the future of the portable long service leave scheme. The capped rate is reviewed annually to ensure it is appropriate and aligned with current industry pay rates.
