Construction Skills Queensland SME Capability Program Course Funding

Construction Skills Queensland is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.

CSQ provides funding to reduce the financial obstacle to training, making upskilling an affordable option for many more individuals in the construction industry.

CSQ eligibility

Must be ONE of the below:

Requirement – Right to Work in Australia	Evidence
Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia (if not a citizen)	Green Medicare Card (Current) or My.gov – Medicare snapshot OR Australian or New Zealand Passport (Up to 6 months from expiry) OR Australian or New Zealand Full Birth Certificate or Extract*
A Visa holder with relevant permission to work. N.B. This does not include International Student Visas	Employer letter (on letterhead dated and signed by the employer) confirming the participant has the right to work in the Queensland building and construction industry OR Visa with conditions including right to work in the Queensland building and construction industry

*A commemorative birth certificate cannot be accepted

AND must be ONE of the below:

Be an owner of an eligible building and construction small business*	Complete compulsory CSQ Eligibility Details for Small Business Workshop forms. Must state business name and job title/role AND one of the below: Provide ABN/ACN showing business ownership OR Provide statutory declaration (includes name of business and ABN, job title, length of service and details of duties)
Be an employee of an eligible building and construction small business who is directly involved in the administrative day-to-day running of the business*	Complete compulsory CSQ Eligibility Details for Small Business Workshop forms. Must state business name and job title/role AND one of the below: Provide employment letter - must be on company letterhead including ABN and signature of employer producing the letter, job title and list of administrative duties undertaken OR Provide statutory declaration (includes name of employer and ABN, job title, length of service and details of duties)

*An eligible building and construction small business means a business with 50 or less employees that conducts building and construction work in the Queensland building and construction industry and is based in Queensland.

AND must not be:

Currently enrolled and participating in a secondary school program.
Contracted as a trainer and assessor or an existing worker of an RTO
Funded by an Authority or other such source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program	A funded Queensland Government program. A funded Commonwealth Government program. A funded Industry program. An Employer funded program
Participant previously funded under this program in the same contract term.	This includes enrolling in another qualification with another RTO in the same program period.
An Employee of an Authority.
