Construction Skills Queensland Small Business Course Funding
Construction Skills Queensland is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
CSQ provides funding to reduce the financial obstacle to training, making upskilling an affordable option for many more individuals in the construction industry.
Must be ONE of the below:
|Requirement – Right to Work in Australia||Evidence|
|Australian or New Zealand Citizen or||Green Medicare Card (Current) or My.gov – Medicare snapshot OR |
Australian or New Zealand Passport (Up to 6 months from expiry) OR
Australian or New Zealand Full Birth Certificate or Extract*
|Permanent Resident of Australia (if not a citizen)||Certificate of Evidence of Residence Status (CERS)|
|A Visa holder with relevant permission to work.||Visa https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/already-have-a-visa/check-visa-details-and-conditions/check-conditions-online|
*A commemorative birth certificate cannot be accepted
AND must be ONE of the below:
|Small business eligibility||Evidence|
|Be an owner of an eligible building and construction small business*||Complete compulsory CSQ Eligibility Details for Small Business Workshop forms. Must state business name and job title/role.|
|Be an employee of an eligible building and construction small business who is directly involved in the day-to-day running of the business*||Complete compulsory CSQ Eligibility Details for Small Business Workshop forms. Must state business name and job title/role.|
*An eligible building and construction small business means a business with 20 or less employees that conducts building and construction work in the Queensland building and construction industry and is based in Queensland.
AND must be ONE of the below:
|Requirement – Permanently work in Queensland||Evidence|
|An Eligible Worker: Employed in Queensland within the Building & Construction Industry (including relevant clerical, administration & professional staff whose employer is part of the building and construction industry.|
QLeave Statement (current statement showing credits within last 4 years) OR Relevant current Licence (as per listing)* OR Employer letter (on letter head and signed by the employer) confirming employment, role and duties in the Building and Construction industry OR Statutory Declaration providing details of employment.
QBCC Licence example:
*Interstate licences are not acceptable
AND must not be:
|Currently enrolled and participating in a secondary school program.||Excluding School-based apprentices and trainees, registered in Queensland, undertaking an approved CSQ apprenticeship/traineeship|
|Contracted as a trainer and assessor or an existing worker of an RTO|
|Funded by an Authority or other such source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program||A funded Queensland Government program.|
A funded Commonwealth Government program.
A funded Industry program.
An Employer funded program
|Participant previously funded under this program in the same contract term||This includes enrolling in another qualification with another RTO in the same program period.|
