Wage circulars

All businesses must observe the pay and conditions set out in Modern Awards.

Wages increased from 1 July 2023

On 2 June 2023, the Fair Work Commission (FWC)’s Expert Panel handed down its Annual Wage Review decision. The FWC decided that effective 1 July 2023, award minimum wages will increase by 5.75 per cent. The national minimum wage, which applies to award/agreement-free employees, will be increased by 8.6 per cent to $882.80 per week, or $23.23 per hour.

Allowances will also increase in line with the relevant consumer price index categories, and the new allowance rates will be shown in our updated wage circulars.
