Tropical lifestyle celebrated at 2021 Housing & Construction Awards

14 August 2021

FROM stunning acreage masterpieces to enviable coastal homes, Mackay & Whitsundays builders proved why they’re the best in the business at the 2021 Housing & Construction Awards.

Master Builders Queensland was thrilled to welcome a live crowd to the event at the Mackay Convention Centre on Saturday, 14 August. This year’s field rose above the adversity brought about by ongoing trade and materials shortages and price hikes plaguing the industry, with the judging panel thrilled with their top-calibre workmanship, perfect finishes, and detail in construction.

Urban Trend Construction swept the pool with six Awards on the night, including all three Awards in the Specialty category. The team took out the coveted House of the Year title, as well as Best Individual Home $950,000 up to $1.25 million, and Best Residential Swimming Pool all for the stunning Indochine House at Erakala. Truly breathtaking, Indochine House has been built with lifestyle in mind. From the magnificent wraparound swimming pool to the stunning living spaces and pavilion ceilings, this home is a unique fusion of Asian and tropical north Queensland influences. Laid out across three independent wings, including main house, guest wing and ‘metro’ men’s shed, every space exhibits consideration of the owners’ needs, exuding exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
