2019 wage announcement

The Fair Work Commission Minimum Wage Panel has handed down its 2019 minimum wage ruling.

From the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2019 the national minimum wage will increase by $21.60 per week or 57 cents per hour (on the basis of a 38-hour week). This represents a rise of 3% from the current national minimum wage of $719.20 per week.

The national minimum wage will now be $740.80 per week or $19.49 per hour.

A 3% increase will also flow on to Modern Award rates.
