Get up to speed on workplace health and safety

BSB41419 - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

Our eight-day express Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety workshop has been designed as a skill building program. It’s for people who are currently working in Workplace health and safety (WHS), or who have relevant experience and are looking to gain the qualification and move into a WHS role. The program covers topics like hazard identification, risk management, incident response and working with sub-contractors.

This course will qualify you to obtain your Work Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) accreditation through Work Safe Queensland. If you want to work as a Work Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) or Safety Advisor, or just want to brush up on your work health and safety knowledge, then this course is the one for you.

To complete this course, you must be working in the construction industry and have a sound base level of knowledge about the topic.

Candidates wanting to complete this course must demonstrate a minimum of 48 months working in the construction industry.

Why enrol?

Endorsed by our Master Builders' in-house safety team, students who enrol in our BSB41419 – Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety course can be assured they are not only learning from the industry leader, but from the Association who actively works with government on the development of Safety Policy and Standards for the construction industry in Queensland.

We recognise that our students are actively working in the construction industry and therefore have a base level of knowledge about safety.

We understand that it's difficult to have eight consecutive days off the job site or office. So, our program is broken into four face-to-face workshop blocks. While the delivery of information occurs over eight days, students have three months to complete assessments.
