Learn your obligations and liabilities
In Queensland, licensed contractors who carry out residential construction work are required under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act to take out the appropriate home warranty insurance for the work on behalf of the homeowner. Failure to do so is an offence. They're also liable for recovery action in the event a claim is paid for defective or incomplete work.
In this training course, our expert trainer will break down the complexities of the legislation. The workshop helps residential building contractors understand the basics of Home Warranty Insurance. Find out what types of works need to be covered, how to calculate the premium, obligations and liabilities, plus more.
Our face-to-face and livestream workshops will give licensees the practical skills and knowledge to help you comply with your payment of premium obligations and appropriately manage their risks and obligations in the event of a claim, or potential claim, for defective or incomplete work.
