The new Queensland Managing the risk of psychosocial hazards at work Code of Practice 2022 has cast light on the role of employers and PCBU's in preventing psychological injury at work and promoting improved mental health for workers.

Master Builders has developed new training to assist managers (project managers and site managers) in the construction industry to deal with the pressures involved in our industry. This training is designed to help employers build resilience at their work, and to assist their workers respond to stress and trauma at work.

Why enrol?

All work involves some degree of stress, however when a worker feels they are unable to cope with repeated stressors or there are no support mechanisms to manage the situation, stress can manifest in ways that become detrimental to the worker and the business. Exposure to a traumatic event may lead to the development of an acute stress response.

In an effort to improve mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, it is critical to implement control measures at an organisational level and build a resilient workplace.

Our four-hour livestream workshop will help you identify and manage work stress and trauma, and assist your workers build resilience and address their mental health wellbeing.

This short livestream course will outline:

  • How to identify work stress and trauma
  • How to manage and prevent stress and trauma creating psychological injury
  • How to assist workers build resilience, and
  • How to ensure work does not adversely affect the mental health of workers.

This course is part of the Master Builders Construction business basics program. This is a non-accredited micro-credential. This micro-credentialling program project is proudly supported and funded by the Queensland Government.

Outcome

This is not a Nationally Recognised Training course. You will receive a Statement of Completion.

Students will receive the workshop training badge to include on their own marketing upon completion.
