Respect@Work: Understand your legal obligations as an employer
Learn your legal obligations to prevent work related sex discrimination, harassment and victimisation
Businesses are required by law to prevent sex discrimination, harassment and victimisation at work. Where a business does not do enough to prevent such behaviours and conduct, the Fair Work Commission can issue stop sexual harassment orders and award compensation to people affected by sexual harassment at work.
This four-hour course for employers, principal contractors and PCBU’s will equip you with the skills to manage and mitigate the risks associated with sexual harassment at work.
In September 2022, the Anti-Discrimination and Human Rights Legislation Amendment (Respect at Work) Bill 2022, which will amend the Federal Sex Discrimination Act 1984 was introduced. The new laws will require businesses to prevent workplace sex discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
Our experts will break down the jargon and teach you how to comply with your obligations and ensure your work is free from sex discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
